Betting Tips for Watford v Chelsea

Watford will be looking to take the game to Chelsea. Despite their opponents’ new-found optimism, Watford hope to build on their solid season last year. Coming away from this game with anything will be seen as a success. While this is possible our match preview suggests that it is unlikely.

Chelsea will be setting out to reach European qualification at the very least this season after having a disastrous time of things in 2015-16. They have brought in Antonio Conte, and confidence is making its way back to Stamford Bridge. The season started with a battle, but the result went their way – they will be expecting nothing less than a win which Tips Daddy thinks they will achieve. See the following preview which shows the % chances of a Chelsea win.

Chelsea are the favourites for this one, despite being the visitors. Tips Daddy’s no brainer tip is based on them having a refreshed vibe, with their new manager and new signings – Michy Batshuayi is an energetic striker, while N’Golo Kante left champions Leicester for Stamford Bridge and had a great debut. Bet365 have them making the trip back to west London with the three points at 8/11.

Last Week

Watford played at the home of Southampton to kick off the new season, and left St. Mary’s with an impressive point. In our match preview we predicted a draw – with new manager Walter Mazzarri in place it was difficult to predict exactly how they would perform, but that draw was a better result than many may have expected.

Chelsea left it late to get their season underway – they played the first Monday night league fixture of the season at home to West Ham. That one was a bruising affair with several yellow cards shown, but new signing N’Golo Kante looked right at home in his new surroundings. Just like the start of their season, though, they left it late to claim the win – Diego Costa’s 89th minute strike proved decisive in the 2-1 win. Eden Hazard gave a Man of the Match performance, and he could play a pivotal role once again in this game.

Betting Tips Of The Match

While still a Leicester player, Kante scored against Watford last season in a 2-1 Foxes win, and he will be itching to get on the scoresheet for his new club. He did get his name recorded in his league debut, of course, but that was in the referee’s book for a yellow card – Bet365 have him at a tempting 15/2 to find the net against the Hornets.
